No, and we won't pretend it is. Your portrait is AI-assisted: it's created with AI tools from your photo, in one of 4 set styles. Then a separate checker compares it with your photo on coat colour and markings, eye colour, ears, muzzle shape and dark-coat detail, and makes sure there's exactly one animal and nothing weird going on. If it falls short, we make it again instead of shipping it. Then it's printed in the USA.

About 20 seconds for all 4. If it ever takes longer than 30 seconds, our monitoring pings us. You can also email the previews to yourself and come back later.

One pet, face in view, decent light, at least 800 pixels on the short side, not blurry. Your phone photos are perfect. Upload up to 3 and we pick the sharpest. If a person is the main subject, we decline it and you pay nothing.

You see 4 previews and pick one before you pay. If it arrives and doesn't look like your pet, we remake it free, and if the remake still isn't right you get store credit. If it arrives damaged or gets lost, send us a photo (or tell us) and we reprint it free. If it arrives after the date we promised, you get store credit for the shipping plus up to $40. Refunds after shipping are store credit, not money back. You can cancel for a full refund to your card any time before it ships, or if we miss the ship date we promised. Custom items can't be returned for a change of heart, which is exactly why you approve first.

Every print order gets a printable card with the portrait as soon as it passes our check, usually within hours. Hand them the card, the real thing follows. Handy if the box runs late or you see them before it lands.

We strip location and device data (EXIF) when you upload. We use the photo only to make and check your portrait. Originals are deleted 90 days after your order is complete, sooner if you email us. Our image generation and checking run on commercial model providers whose terms don't allow training on customer inputs. We'll list the current providers here once our evaluation locks them in.

Not this season. One pet per portrait. Order one per pet. During the Founding 200, any blanket, canvas or ornament and blanket set also gets a matching ornament free. The other pet will notice if you skip them.

Yes! Cats, dogs, and the cat who thinks it's a dog. Black cats and black dogs too: dark coats get their own detail check. Other animals: try the preview. If it can't find a face, it tells you and you pay nothing.
