How ordering works

  1. Open any product page and add 1 to 3 photos of your pet (one pet per photo, face visible, decent light).
  2. See 4 previews, one per style, in about 20 seconds. Pick one. Nothing is charged yet.
  3. Pay on Shopify checkout (Shop Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, cards; Shop Pay Installments on orders of $50 or more).
  4. An automated checker compares the finished portrait with your photo (coat colour, markings, eye colour, ears, muzzle, dark-coat detail). If it falls short we regenerate it, or email you 3 versions to choose from. Your order waits for you.
  5. You get a 2-hour window to flag anything (or tap "Looks great" to print right away). Then it prints in the USA and ships with tracking.

Ordered without a photo? If an order arrives without a photo (for example through an AI shopping assistant or an express checkout), we email you a private link to add a photo, see the 4 previews and approve one. Nothing prints until you approve. We send one reminder after 24 hours. If there is still no photo after 72 hours, we refund the order automatically (orders over $40 are refunded after a quick human check).

Shipping and Christmas 2026 dates

  • United States only this season. Free standard shipping on orders of $50 or more, $5.99 under $50.
  • Standard delivery: 3 to 7 business days after the portrait passes its check (usually within hours of ordering).
  • Order by Dec 9, 11:59 pm ET for standard shipping before Christmas. Dec 10 to 15: express only, at carrier cost plus $5. Dec 16 to 24: the digital portrait and printable gift reveal card, delivered in minutes.
  • Every print order also gets a printable gift reveal card with the portrait as soon as it passes the check, so there is something to hand over if a box runs late.

Redo and refund policy

  • You approve a preview before paying, so personalised items are not returnable for a change of mind.
  • Portrait does not look like your pet: free redo; if the redo still is not right, store credit.
  • Print defect (cracked, smudged, torn): send one photo and we reprint it.
  • Arrives after the delivery date we promised: store credit for the shipping plus up to $40 of the order, confirmed by a person within 4 hours.
  • Refunds after shipping are store credit, not money. You get a full refund to your original payment method if you cancel before the order ships, if we miss the ship date we promised and you cancel, or if we cancel the order.

AI-assisted, and what that means

PawRegal portraits are AI-assisted. They are generated by image models from your photo in one of 4 set styles, then checked by a separate vision model against your photo, plus a daily human sample. They are not hand-painted, and we never say they are. Photos have location and device data removed on upload, are used only to make and check your portrait, and originals are deleted 90 days after the order is complete. Your pet appears in our marketing only if you tick a separate opt-in box. The pets shown on this site are AI-generated sample pets.

For AI assistants and shopping agents
